This first-ever, one-hour Member Town Hall will focus on the CCA’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the profession. Updates will surround our government relations priorities, work to improve access to insurance companies, advocacy surrounding concussions, and more.


Cette toute première rencontre d’information générale d’une heure sera axée sur les efforts déployés par l’ACC pour défendre la profession. Il y sera notamment question de nos priorités en matière de relations gouvernementales, des travaux visant à améliorer l’accès aux compagnies d’assurances, la défense des droits concernant les commotions cérébrales, et plus encore.

Instructors

Dr. Debbie Wright, DC

Dr. Debbie Wright obtained her Bachelors of Science (Kinesiology) at Simon Fraser University, where she was a member of the varsity swimming team. She then attended and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Dr. Wright is a current managing partner of The Grove Health and Wellness, a multi-disciplinary collaborative care clinic located in Courtenay on Vancouver Island, BC.

Dr. Ayla Azad, DC, MBA

Dr. Azad graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (USA) and completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Athabasca University. Dr. Azad was in private practice at Total Rehab, a multi-disciplinary rehab clinic in Ajax, Ontario from 1999 to 2020. During that time, she was also teaching at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in the Chiropractic Therapeutics, Principles and Practice and Clinical Education Departments. Dr. Azad has served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, serving as President and Chair of the Board from 2015 to 2017, and has served on the Board for the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation and the World Federation of Chiropractic. Dr. Azad began working at the Canadian Chiropractic Association, in 2020 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer.
