  • Introduce members to the CCA’s Patient Experience (PE) initiatives and key findings, including the Task Force (PETF) and Review Group (PERG).
  • Review the best practices recommendations developed for a model patient journey in the first three visits.

  • Learn the main positive and negative drivers that influence PE.

Instructors

Dr. Moe Baloo, MHA, DC

Dr. Moe Baloo holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Services University. He also completed a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from the University of British Columbia’s School of Population and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine. While working as a chiropractor part-time, Moe also worked for a regional health authority (Vancouver Coastal Health) as a Project Lead at St. Paul’s Hospital in downtown Vancouver. Dr. Baloo has served as Chair and Past Chair of the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and currently serves as the Professional Affairs Advisor for the British Columbia Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Shawn Thistle, DC

Dr. Thistle is a chiropractor, educator, speaker, knowledge transfer leader and medico-legal consultant. He graduated from CMCC in 2004 and until 2016, he practiced in a multidisciplinary clinic in Toronto. In 2006, he founded RRS Education (www.rrseducation.com), which offers evidence-based continuing education options for chiropractors including weekly Research Reviews, Online Courses and Seminars. RRS Education helps busy chiropractors stay on top of new information, giving them understandable, applicable, unbiased analysis of the latest literature to optimize patient care.
